Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy for Women Online in New York & Florida

Does this resonate with you?

Are you familiar with that inner critic in the back of your mind who never lets up?

The part that pushes you to achieve but never lets you rest.

The younger part that still feels hurt from things that happened years ago.

These aren't signs you're broken.

They're different parts of you trying to protect you in the only way they know how.

What is Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy?

Internal Family Systems recognizes that we all have different parts within us. When you've experienced trauma or difficult life circumstances, some parts take on extreme roles to protect you. The problem is these protective strategies often cause more pain than they prevent.

Developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz in the 1980s, IFS helps you understand the relationships between your various parts and access your core Self. This compassionate, confident essence of who you are knows how to heal.

When your Self leads your internal system instead of protective parts running the show, real healing happens.

IFS helps with:

  • Understanding your inner conflicts

  • Healing wounded parts carrying shame or pain

  • Reducing anxiety from parts that worry constantly

  • Managing perfectionism and harsh self-criticism

  • Processing trauma in a gentle, non-retraumatizing way

  • Building self-compassion and internal harmony

This approach is particularly effective for people who experience themselves as fragmented or conflicted, who struggle with intense self-criticism, who find decision making especially challenging, or who've found traditional talk therapy helpful but incomplete.

As an IFS-informed therapist, I am committed to helping you build a compassionate relationship with all parts of yourself. I typically use IFS therapy to enrich and deepen my EMDR work, rather than a standalone treatment.

Step into your core Self.
